St Francis Property Owners Association and NPC Newsletter – March 2022

St Francis Bay Property Owners Posted on 15th Mar 2022 by Craig Jarvis15th Mar 2022

Water, And Lack Thereof There is definitely a case of ‘day zero fatigue’ kicking in, with relentless media mention of our upcoming Day Zero and the vast problems we face. We have to rise above the fatigue to realise that we are in a very dire situation and could be in for a rough time should we not have a wet winter. We all know about JoJo tanks, boreholes and well points, much to the fact that there is no need to talk much more about them. There are, however, a few other options. Option 1 Kouga Kares Mike … Continue reading →

CCTV INFRASTRUCTURE EXPLAINED BY ATLAS SECURITY

St Francis Bay Property Owners Posted on 27th Feb 2022 by Craig Jarvis27th Feb 2022

Atlas Security, Calibre Security and Intersec operate the CCTV service in St Francis Bay, all under contract to the SFPO NPC, who represent 1 590 levy-paying property owners. It has come to our attention that there are questions surrounding various aspects of the CCTV Infrastructure and the processes that are in place, and also certain misconceptions not only of the capability of the technology but also of the legalities surrounding the use of the footage. Between Atlas Security, Calibre Security, and the SRA, we would like to clarify that we are happy to assist with any concerns that anyone may … Continue reading →

St Francis Bay Property Owners Posted on 14th Jan 2022 by Craig Jarvis14th Jan 2022

RIP Colin Watt It was sad news to hear of Colin Watt’s recent passing. Colin worked with the St Francis Property Owners Association for a long time and helped develop the SFPO website. He was also instrumental in setting up the virtual AGM’s and worked tirelessly with St Francis Animal Rescue.  A friend to many in St Francis Bay and the former editor of St Francis Today, Colin had been battling ill health. His passing was a thankful release from the suffering. He will be missed.    Season Feedback It seems to have been a bumper season this last season, with … Continue reading →

St Francis Bay Property Owners Posted on 18th Nov 2021 by Craig Jarvis14th Feb 2022

What To Do When Witnessing A Crime Witnessing a crime is an event that is becoming more common, and depending on the crime itself, could put people in very dangerous and compromising positions. Therefore, we need to know how to handle situations or how not to handle situations. Personal Safety The most important thing in any situation is your own safety. St Francis Bay Property Owners Posted on 14th Oct 2021 by Craig Jarvis14th Feb 2022

How To Better Protect The Standard Household. A security solution is not what it used to be years ago. Technological innovation has played a vital role in the constant development of home and business protection without losing the essential element of affordability. The solutions of yesterday were focused on the walls of the premises, and not much more. It included window protection, door protection, and indoor passives. Today’s answer to crime is not just an alarm system but also a holistic security solution for the premises.
